Bequia. St Vincent

We're sitting in Charleston Bay, at Canouan Island.
It's been raining all day as we're sitting under a tropical low. The bad weather is just north of us so we're getting southern bands of rain. Should clear out soon.
Canouan is a small island, about 5 square miles with 400 – 500 local inhabitants. There is a nice resort right here on the bay. About 2/3 of the island is owned by an Italian development company offering lots and upscale homes complete with a golf course and casino.
The snorkeling here is very good.
We got here 3 days ago from Bequia which is a great little island 8 mile off the southern end of St Vincent. We had been there about a year and a half ago and just love Bequia. We were there about a week.
It's got a great, protected harbor that will hold a couple of hundred boats easily. Beautiful beaches and wonderful snorkeling and diving. We snorkeled every day and did a dive while there.
They have a concrete walkway at the waters edge leading to wonderful little restaurants and small inns.
Dive shop
Harbor in town with fishing boats pulled up on the sand.
Walkway off the town beach with shops and stores.
Cracking one at De Bistro
Painted houses and more overlooking the beach.
Diving in Bequia
Dinghy'd about ¼ mile to the “Devil's Table”. Easy dive to about 50 feet with lots of color and fish.
Floating in air.
See the eel?
Pillar coral
Misc. shots.
Yeah. We like it here.
